Rooted in Spirit, Creating Legacy in Song
About Me
I’m Wanda Lacole, born and raised in Philadelphia—a true Philly girl with deep Southern roots from my years in North Carolina. I grew up singing in church and school choirs, district chorus, and, most joyfully, with my cousins at family gatherings. Those harmonies, shared in both sacred spaces and everyday moments, sparked a lifelong devotion to music and creative connection.
Raised in the Baptist tradition, my journey has led me to embrace the Lucumí path as a priestess of Oshun, deepening my spiritual practice and purpose as a healer, artist, and mother. My songs reflect a passage from faith and family to spiritual growth and transformation.
I am blessed to walk this path shaped by the guidance of Latin American mentors—my Padrino in the Lucumí faith and my Vocal Coach/Music Mentor rooted in Candomblé. Though these are distinct traditions, both honor the wisdom, music, and ancestral spirit of the African Ifá/Orisha heritage. Their teachings have enriched my spiritual foundation and inspired my creative journey, weaving diverse legacy and artistry into my life and music.
With LaCisCo Music Group as a creative home, I blend my gifts in music, community, and energy work to create art that uplifts and connects. I invite you to experience melodies shaped by legacy, spiritual awakening, and a continuing devotion to joy and healing light.
